How do you guys keep the polished steel shiny? :| Doesn't it rust with time?

it is actually a chrome beauty ring that gets slipped inside the steel wheel. it used to be really popular with the old-school hot-rodders

the "polished lips" are actually chromed barrells welded to whatever spec centers you order. as long as well maintained chrome doesnt rust. here's my steelies, look to be same specs as the sw20 earlier in the thread. 17x9 0 offset
