My roomate/friend's freshly fitted '06 STI!

Well, my roomate, myself and a few friends finally got around to mounting his new wheels/tire/coilovers on his STI and we were pleasantly surprised with how well everything came out. Pics hardly do this car justice, the fitment looks perfect in person. Here are a few camera phone pics as well as a few rolling shots taking by my buddy's Nikon D80. Enjoy!

-Wheel specs are 18"x9.5 +22 Enkei NT03+M's
-Tires are 235/40/18 Falken RT-615's
-Slammage comes way of D2 coilovers with adjustable camber plates.

And for a bonus, a few snaps I took of my buddy's turbo E36 M3 (Matth3w on here). He did most of the installation on both mine and my roomate's coilovers.

Perfect STi. Only thing I would consider changing would be a red overlay on the tails or retrofitting the 04-05 tails. This is the kind of car that would cross me over to the dark side (I've wanted an Electric Blue EVO IX since 05 or so ).

Yeah he has always wanted to do that, but has never gotten around to purchasing some '04-'05 tails. I've mentioned getting red out vinyl overlays, but he would rather just get the new tailights altogether, and I can't blame him.

I live in a condo complex where we aren't allowed to work on our cars in the parking lot. My friend's dad owns a service shop about a half hour away with lifts and stuff, and he lend us a hand in installing them since he has every tool under the sun and I don't. Plus me nor my friend with the STI have ever done a coilover install, so I don't see any harm in enlisting a friend who has to ensure that all goes smoothly. And what does that have to do with me posting up pictures of my friend's car anyways?

I kinda felt the same way at first, but it grows on you and it looks alot better in person I think.

I really hope you don't think everyone on this board does their own work, especially without help from friends...

Both dudes helped with the installs, I just provided the shop, lifts, and knowledge of having done suspension work many times. I don't see the harm in having friends help you with your work. Isn't that what working on cars is all about? GOOD TIMES!

lol I noticed that when I was posting the pics up. Once I install my spacers the three of us plan on doing a proper shoot, so maybe we'll actually get some pics of his car with his wheels straight

And yeah, a 235 on a 9.5" isn't much stretch, but its all he wanted. He wanted to retain the aggressiveness of an STI while mixing in some stance.
