  • Running again, no matter how hard it tries not to

Finally got my car mostly buttoned up with the new swap. It's been driving for exactly one week so far, and I have already blown up a diff, killed a flex disk and center support bearing, popped the heater core, scraped through the resonator, bounced off my window trim, and pulled my lower fender bolts through the fender.

God how I missed this car lol

Some point and shoot pics in the rain today at a meet I went to in NY

I'm almost never over that way. This meet was in Bear Mountain, but I rarely leave RI

Well it handles like crap right now because the front struts are completely bottomed out. I'm waiting to get another daily driver so I can send the struts back to bilstein to get revalved for my new springs, then I'll be able to shorted the struts another 2" and still be this low or lower. Weight isn't really an issue, as the engine has an aluminum block and is mounted farther back than the 6 cylinders that came in the car are. This car had an m30 in it before anyways, so it's actually a bit better than it was.

Thinking about changing up the interior soon. It seems too stock.

Quick history is it started out as a DD 318is, I swapped a 3.5 I6 in and blew it up in 3 months, and now the engine's working but it's tearing the rest of the car apart haha. Here's my build thread if you want the long history

Thanks Ben, it feels awesome to finally be driving a fun car again rather than the PT loser that has been transporting me for the past 10 months

I was wondering why you were tearing so much shit up… then i saw the last pic of the swap.

Video of the car in action is a must. I think the car looks sexy btw.

Ninja edit. Wait, is that the 4.6 mod motor??

                            Double edit. I'm way wrong.
