I bet some of you were wondering why there is a new banner on the right side of your screen. We are proud to announce the newest sponsor in our network. It is something that has been in the making for a little while now, and we couldn't be more pumped to have George Ciordas and the great crew within the KW family on board.
Anyone who has tinkered with their suspension has heard of KW, but for those of you who don't know about one of their latest acquistion, here is a quick rundown on ST:
IN 1979...
is when it all began for ST in southern California. While NASA was monitoring the Voyager spacecraft and its outstanding images of Jupiter and its rings, and Phillips was demonstrating the Compact Disc for the first time, the team at ST was developing ways of getting the most out of your vehicles suspension.
In the years to follow, ST developed many innovative products and solutions in response to market demands. The success of the company and its core technologies attracted the attention of many tuners resulting in countless private label projects of what became many of the largest names in vehicle tuning in the USA over past 30 years.
The Sporttech & Speedtech lowering springs along with the ST Sway Bar kits became a household name in the tuning scene in the 80's and 90's, being referred to in many circles simply as ST. In 1995 this attention attracted a new owner, Belltech Sport Trucks, who brought a whole new dimension to the ST lineup, the wildly hot Sport Trucks. As part of the deal, ST was relocated from southern California to Fresno CA.
In 2005, the German suspension powerhouse KW automotive GmbH, well known worldwide for its reference standard KW Coilover height adjustable suspension systems, purchased both Belltech Sport Trucks and Suspension Techniques, and launched KW automotive North America Inc. now based just outside of Fresno in Sanger, CA. The infusion of technology from ST new parent company took ST's game to a whole new level, increasing not only its application range coverage, but also adding (among other things) the innovative ST Speedtech Coilover program, modeled after the wildly successful galvanized KW Variant 1 coilover program.
TODAY
With this influx of worldwide technology, staff, and engineering base ST boasts one of the largest application ranges and largest distribution chains of any suspension manufacturer in North America. From our 115,000 sq/ft facility located in sunny Sanger, CA our 30 staff is here to serve you. When it comes to automotive suspension applications, if ST doesn't have it, you can be sure that one of the KW automotive brands worldwide has got you covered.
The ST acquistion should excite anyone who is into lowering cars. KW has gone through great lengths to offer the best height adjustable coilovers at a affordable price. The ST line is a strong indication that the "big players" in the automotive world are starting to cater to those interested in wheel fitment.
There has been a lot of talk lately about the notion of "quality vs. affordability," when it comes to parts. We are here to say that the ST solution is a marriage of the two. Even better, it should nullify settling with anything less, as far as a entry coilover system is concerned.
Please give a big welcome to a company that refuses to sacrifice quality in their pursuit of bettering the "low lifestyle."
