sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. I'd like to say ill go take some real photos this weekend but beings that the water pump took a shit i think its time to start the swap
AlSO, camber is all the way in because of the road race tires lmao once i get smaller tires i will delete some camber and get some spacers. Anyone know where i can get som 175 45 15's or something along those lines?
any one of these sites will have used wheels in good shape for slightly more than you will pay for the rotas, and the resale value (if you were to spend some time and refinish them) would be higher than the initial purchase price. A set of legit wheels is never a bad investment, because it is exactly that... an INVESTMENT.
I had 6, count 'em, 6 sets of wheels on my TSX in 1 years time. All of which I sold for the same price or higher than what I purchased them for. Just takes a little extra effort to clean up an abbused wheel. You will be wayyyy happier in the long run. I promise.
Trust me bro, I know all about starting out, I just graduated HS, and I have literally only $400 in spending money right now, because I have to have money while in college, I could buy some reps right now if I wanted, but I am just saving because I know that waiting will give me the exact wheels I want, and I will be able to afford them, and have extra to cover the costs of mounting tires, adapters, etc. I want to do my car right the first time I do it, and dropping 400 on reps would mean that I am 400 further away from getting the wheels I really want, which means I have to wait even longer. Which is something not many people think about. Good things come to those who wait, so just wait, sure it looks whack now, but it definitely won't when you have a really nice set of wheels, and could be rolling on something that has never been done before on a Civic.
Just some food for thought.
Props to you guys for actually giving the OP advice vs just bashing his car or buying habits. Responses like the above will actually help steer people towards making better purchases and improving the overall look of their car. Condescending one-liners will do the opposite.
Good start OP. As several of the guys have mentioned, save up for the real deal. If you have the ability to buy Rota's, you are not far off from purchasing something real and more desirable. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
i am currently saving for real wheels guys trust me but i already have the slips. oh is anyone going to the 4 you drew car show? ill be there don't be afraid to come say hi
I bought PERFECT condition 4x100 15x7 et38 Kosei K1s WITH 80% tread 205/50/15 Falken Azenis RT-615 tires (top 3 performance tires out there in 15" size) for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
There is NO reason to buy fake wheels. You all fail. They are not "the best option," they are the laziest option.
You want Rotas or these???
I actually miss the Koseis a LOT, they've found a nice new home on my buddy's 450whp civic, though
Rota slips would have looked sooooooo much better on the EG, though *rollseyes*
