rat W124: getting there...

This is my merc w124. slowly transforming into a rat-rod I think I'm gonna widen the original steelies for it, and less rubber

please come with tips about rat, what to have on the roof, stickers etc

Really interesting... this idea could definitely go places. I personally think the grill needs to be addressed, losing the chrome (flat black perhaps) or changing the entire thing would totally change the cars feel in my opinion!

But overall i like where this is going.... subscribed!

woohoohoo thats cool! i say get rid of the chrome on the inside of the grill,but maybe keep the surround and do some small pinstriping? maybe get rid of the door molding too. and wide steelies for sure! would be so sick. im excited to see where it will go

im ok with bieng "that" guy .. i dont like it at all. not all cars can pull off the rat-rod style. i dont think this car can at all, not even once you address the style more.

itll be fine. id say most 80's (or boxy body style) can pull it off. its going to be all up to the execution. this model doesnt look much different than a volvo 240 those can pull off the rat look quite easily.

right now its awkward. needs dish and poke. i say leave the grille clean and nice. once the rest of the car is pulled together, having the nice grille will be a good contrast.
