  • Stance WORKS! (Stance vs Handling)

When I cut 2 coils from my Sportline springs I understood that the geometry of suspension would be deeply injured. I was ready to go with Form>Function and to void handling in the name of style Negative camber (rear more aggressiму than front), stretched tires, overlowered suspension with cut springs. It seems there's nothing to do with speed and performance at a first glance...

But I was deeply surprised after the latest track-day session I visited! The car handles even better than it did before! Rear negative camber reached 3:15 and front is 1:40 with current lowering. It caused some oversteering but I made my rear stabilizer softer by relocating rear stabilizer links and the I'm completely happy with handling ballance appeared. Front wheels have even contact with surface on both inner and outer side, the car performs some neutral handling with smooth oversteering features. I really like how it handles and the result is not worse than I performed last time with 18 forged wheels and semi-slick tires and finally took the first place in my class.

I also used to drive it on both dry and wet surface and don't have any issues with handling during the rain:

So the only conclusion I came to is: STANCE WORKS At least it works much better than all stance ****** expect

I think that books just give you a general idea, but each case is unique and you can't always tell if it is good or not when it comes to suspension adjustment. To each his own. The main thing is that I like what I get. It is the rare case when the result exceeds expectations. I was ready to be low and slow, but I still can be fast at cornering.
