Evilstar! That car looks amazing. But you need bigger tires, or slam that on the ground to pull off those rubber bands!

All in all I have less than $2000 into it, car included. Most of that went to the DMV for 5yrs worth of past due fees. Plus i have parts that i can still sell to recoupe some cost.

My old beaters:
'93 Mazda Protege LX
The '91 that replaced it:
The next one, Ford Escort Wagon. I ended at less than $500 on this one.
From wrecked:
To rocked:
Then my Eleanor, a '88 Mazda 323 GT I bought on my birthday from th junkyard, after having lusted over them online for years:
And how it looked when I got rid of it, 5 years and about $2k later:
Ran 10 flat in the 1/8th all day, every day, spinning into 3rd gear. Way too much fun.
Picked this up to compete in 24 hours of Lemons, but all team members backed out, so it just became a auto-x/ mountain road bomber/ quarter mile basher.
When I sold it:
Had this at the same time as my daily, Mercury Tracer LTS. took a 6 hour road trip, an alternator swap in the rain at the sellers house, and several push starts to get home:
And at it's prime:
Then a Mazda 323, stock:
And looking it's best:
This was one I miss alot, Mercury Tracer Wagon. After the third trans went out, I was done.
And the best beater ever, $1800 P71 Crown Vic:
Panther getting it done with open headers and no front springs:
Cash For Clunkers P71 Drifting
I love craigslist and junkyards.Last edited by slp950; 02-13-2013, 11:40 PM.
