this thread is just awesome great to see the creativity and people having fun with their mods. ill be sure to post my e30s up here when i get my coils and find some wheels which is a lot harder than it sounds since i live in new zealand
i have two e30's sitting in my driveway but sadly nothing happens very quickly
I've spent maybe 800-900$ (doesn't include the car which was about 640$) so far and building it to be a US Spec version. Working on the summer wheels at the moment, still 2-3 months until the summer season starts. It's on coils atm, but can't be bothered to slam it, will do when summer wheels are on.
all for under 3K Rust free car! Top of the motor is new now! Widend steelies and a bit of Jom and other car suspention parts! lol So so many junk yard trips too! lol ohhh and alot of forum life looking for cheap parts! Enjoy my Daily!
definitely low budget for where i ultimately want it. but being in college doesnt allow to much spending on the car besides car, wash and keeping it clean.
Car was stock for the first 2.5 yrs of owning it through highschool.
this summer:
Coils~750
wheels~free, with car sat in garage for 2.5 years
other smalls, facelift tails, and headlights.
My Blue Zombie, as of last summer:
Car: $600
Wheels: $350
Suspension: $34 (for Rabbit strut inserts) and lots of fabrication
Rebuilt engine: traded for a few hours stacking firewood
Header & Muffler: $160
All the other odds and ends were picked up used from swap meets, yard sales, and online classified ads
