Hope you guys make it okay and get the car running again!
What happened with the trailer? Did you just leave it somewhere?

The trailer is safe and sound in my backyard getting a good dose of dog piss.
I think the consensus is that the car is not overheating.Last edited by TheNeek; 08-04-2009, 10:49 AM.

Yeah, the M30 is pretty much rock solid. I drove my old M635CSi in Spain once, but the M88 (which is derived from the M30) never had these issues. So must be insanely hot where you guys are at.
A friend of mine drove his constantly overheating E34 535i with a big piece of dry-ice strapped to the front of the car. Emergency repair to get it to a mechanic, but cool "outside the box" idea though.|Proper stance and stretch = An acquired taste|

The temp has never climbed, the coolant has never had any crazy pressure, It's been dandy... its just that the car would sputter and die out while driving after getting hot... letting it cool would allow us to drive a few more hours, until yesterday when it wouldn't really cool back down.
We think its the fuel pump getting fussy with the heat. It still has the original fuel pump in it. Just ordered a new one. Also replacing the cap and rotor, found some oil in mine.... just gonna "shotgun" the whole problem as Nic said.
