I completely agree with SeanDub. I am not sure how you can try too hard at being unique... Personally I love what he does, the car never stays the same for long, and in my view that's awesome. He always has something new, something totally different, something that no one has done before.

Back on topic of HF5, I heard it was awesome, and from the pics, looks like an awesome turnout with a ton of great cars.

I'll play the respective role as Switzerland regarding the discussion about the IS.

Neutral.

While I agree that this scene is all about doing things out of the ordinary, breaking molds and being innovative.....I also feel there is a fine line between doing something "different" and doing something that is an obvious cry for attention, and can just wind up looking silly/tacky, such as the case with that IS.

BUT.....

I give respect where it's due, and he is certainly doing his own thing.....and there is nothing wrong with that. However, while I respect what is is doing.....or trying to do I should say.....at the end of the day I still feel he took a once classy car and took it a bit too far over the top in an effort to be different and to be noticed.

I'm not saying he gives two shits about what I have to say and I really wouldn't expect him to as its still his car and his blank canvas. I'm all for originality/doing cool shit thats different but at some point I (me personally) draw the line.

I too thought we made this place because we like to do off the wall out of the norm stuff and discuss stuff that we didn't. I just must have missed the memo about us all having to like everyones car and that we can't voice our opinion when someone does something we don't like it.
