if i was going with m3 bumpers i would but imo the non m3 white e36s look horrible with painted lowers

I really like that.
Just paint them a deep flat black instead of the OEM 50% grey. Looks WAY better, trust me! I did that on my old sedan and it did wonders for the car.Originally posted by Majend View Postif i was going with m3 bumpers i would but imo the non m3 white e36s look horrible with painted lowers

I can really appreciate a car like yours. It appears to be completely stock...... besides having lots of low and sick fitment (of course). Though it is those two things and how they come together so nicely that what make it what it is. Its that contrast between stock / super modded.
Anyway, yeah, I love it all man!

pulled the wheels out of one of the corners of my shop and started working on refinishing them, they are going to look quite different
here is a little hint

can't go as low with an m3 front plus it isn't an m3 and i don't want to get rid of the two-tone. i am going lower this year with a bit more aggressive spacing and swapping in a bigger motor so i want to keep it sleeper as well.
anywho...
a before and after of the wheels when i cleaned them up so i could get to work

midway through polishing the lips

and wheel 1 taped up for paint, and yes i fixed the tape before i sprayed them

oh and here are the wheels specs in case any one is wondering

going to try and get them all painted by the weekend but we will see if school and work get in the way...

Yes you can. M bumper is the same height as the non-M bumper.Originally posted by Majend View Postcan't go as low with an m3 front

i'll take your word for it, they always seemed lower but w/e. they look really really sweet on cars with the whole kit but it just isn't the look i am going for

I'd come over to the UK and hit you anyways if you'd mount the M bumpers.
I simply love white E36s without the M bumpers, when the lowers are NOT in body colour. If my car wasn't a Touring I'd be rocking the non Ms as well, but the Touring needs the M bumpers to look proper, imo.
They LOOK a bit lower because of the small lip protuding outwards a bit.

my thoughts exactly, if the car wasn't two tone i would throw a m bumper on in a heartbeat since i **** all white non-M3s. in my mind black is about the only color that can pull of the non-M3 single color setupOriginally posted by Dr.AK View PostI'd come over to the UK and hit you anyways if you'd mount the M bumpers.
