Amazing what a little work with the fender roller will do. I ended up doing a slight flair on the outer part of the fender also (you can see it a little bit in the last pic). Lots of heat and patience, and it ended up just about where I wanted it. I can finally rest the fender on the outer lip of the barrel.

Is it touching or is there like a pubic hair space between so it will still roll without destroying chrome/paint?

It'll rest on the fender, but I just watch my ride height to make sure it stays off while driving. I'll take some ride height pics later. The tires have been creating their own clearance.

Lol Thanks! The car isn't ever done, so keep an eye out for some exterior changes throughout the winter.
