In that case, wouldn't a 225/35 all around be a better option? I didn't think 35 up front would be a good idea on an 18" wheel. The back has much more room to play with the stretch/sidewall size, so you can afford to downsize the sidewall on a wider wheel. With a 215/35 front, the steering will probably feel waaaaaaaaaaay off.

My car has 215/35/19 (8.5" wheel) up front and it's pretty distant feeling, absolutely nothing like the 235s I had before spacers. Not even comparable.

My final word to you Brandon is that you won't be happy with the setup you're thinking of, and I won't be either. lol

Well, I can only speak for how 215/35 in the front feels on an E36 - my dad runs that on his compact (in fact, he runs 215/35 all around on 8s and 9s). It feels pretty good actually, imo.

Brandon, 205/40? Don't do that. What size are the wheels? 8.5 and 9.5?
            215/35/ and 225/35.

Then do a 205/40 up front and a 225/40 out back.

on 18's? I thought you would want a 35 series?

Too bad he bought 8" wide wheels. He'd have to go 215/35 on the front, that's the smallest 35 series tire. :-/

The way it looks currently, I'm not really a fan to be honest. I think the view straight from the rear looks weird with the wheels poking that much... they're not wide enough for that kind of poke to look good from the rear. If they were about 1" - 1.5" wider to the inside it would look loads better, even with that poke.
                          ^ Agreed.

Though I must say I will be glad to see the Style 5's go. They are just too small for an E46, especially with 205/40 tires.

                            Not exactly true.

There is a 205/35. But only ONE. Toyo's Proxes T1-R is avaible in that size.

Agreed. I like the MPars, but personally I wouldn't ditch the 5's for them. I trust that you'll change my mind though

yeaaaa, maybe the new tires or a refinish on these parallels will convince me otherwise
