Idk the whole thing screams "look at me, I'm trying to make my car as trendy and 'in' as possible" using styles that were on VWs for a long time but looked like shit on them too minus the camber, that's just a whole other topic of discussion

No rack, painted hood, and like 8 degrees less camber would make it real pretty imo. Less is more sometimes

Mike's car isn't a relatively newish car either, rust works on something old if it's with the whole car but on a car that's not even 15 years old and rusting one body panel, come on now. Overall flow on a car and making everything work together well means more than just slapping random parts on to me but everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinions

I like you, but that right there ticks me off. Everytime a topic like this comes up your response is "VW's have been doing it for years." So? Someone else did it before VW's. This style has become prominent in cali, so its understandable that he built his car like that. And im not sure, but he might actually just like the style. Everything you've ever thought was original, was inspired by something, and if you thought you were the first, someone you dont know did it 20 years before you. There is NOTHING original, its all inspired or just plain copied or adapted from something else.

I definitely don't disagree with you on pretty much everything you said so fair enough haha. The rusted hood and roof rack thing was a very popular aircooled look and works well on those bc of their age so I always found it to be out of place on anything relatively new, especially when MK4 kids started rusting their hoods a few years ago for no real reason on otherwise very clean cars. Trust me, I ***** it then too so it's nothing new or bc they aren't driving VWs lol

Don't worry, I can definitely see what you're saying and have no problem with you, nothing will please everyone and that's what makes everything interesting

As for the car, the camber is definitely suspect... simple would be much better in this case... just my opinion, like everyone else's...

Haha, it's crazy how much drama this car causes any time it pops up online. I don't **** the car. I actually like quite a bit of it... The rear camber is just too extreme for my tastes. But then again, I don't lower my car more because I enjoy being able to drive it. I've already been told my car isn't allowed on the base I work on, because it's "too low". That's enough for me. I don't need to scrape everywhere.
