Rude E30 Slicktop BACK - Seattle/Vancouver Roadtrip
Hope everyone is enjoying summer!
This car has been down for over half a year - spun a bearing on my last s52..
Finally another s52 is in, cleaning up the car, new E82 1M Floor mats, ZKW smoked turns, testing some new RENOWN steering wheels in it on the long drive to Seattle for E30 picnic this weekend. Lil nervous with the long drive and not really driving this car for so long - rear end is a lil clunkier than I remember, cross drilled rotors slightly starting to splinter, slight hesitation at low 1-2k rpms part throttle city driving... there's always more to do!
I'll update this thread with pics from my roadtrip!
O - and new SHOES!
Stuffed my custom Pokal 17x9/10.5 wheels (unspaced) from my white e24:
17x9 et15 /10.5 et10
235/40/17 in back can barely accelerate (squats even w koni's max'd) - need 225/40 (super hard to find) and rim lip will hit fender - don't want the stretch of the 215/40 in the back on these terrible city roads.. but don't want to raise it too much cause it looks like a raked donk w the big 17s - but gotta drive 15 hours to Seattle this weekend for e30 picnic so can't rub the whole way there or the sidewall will def pop! #e30stanceproblems
stuffing a 255/40 17x10 alpina in back just to take a looksy (once again fit great on my e24 w 20mm spacer).
fitment was perfect on my e24 w 20mm spacer - 245/40 woulda prob fit even better.
