205/40 seems to be TOO small tire. It will make wheelgap huge along with front lip touching the ground. I guess 215/40 is optimal for using with coilovers.
dude... i think you're missing the point just a little bit. smaller tires would make more wheelgap, yes, but he's talking about coilovers, so that would allow him to just go lower. looks like there's plenty of ground clearance for that. and the lip on the ground is a plus on this site too lol.
Kaze, keep it up. the car is looking great so far. body color and wheel color are on point and with a couple little changes I think the stance will be as well

I have the same car as Kaze and I know that when he puts coilovers on and drops the car to the level that allows him to avoid wheelgap with stretched 215/40 tire, his GV lip will be on the groundSo my opinion it is better to stay with 215/45 and make a maximum drop with this setup. I've seen Mz3s with 215/40 and the wheels look ridiculously small in its' wheelarches.
Just imagine that even non stretched 215/40 tire is already 1.3" smaller than stock setup. With stretch the difference will be about 1.5".---We buy parts we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't know---
