That would explain why this happened after you started to drive faster.
(air in the tyre heats up, expands and the pressure rises)

is it possible to stretch runflats?
Well I am runing 255s on a 9.5. It is a small stretch but I don't see why you couldn't do more. Looking at the sidewalls they really aren't that different than a regular tire.

That sucks bro yeah. I'm happy with my Nexxen's. 245/30 on a 10". Not a big stretch, but no issues. I drove to LA and back (12 hours) with no issues either.

That happened to me last year on my way to Wuste. Had a very small bubble when we left for Vegas, and by the time I hit Barstow, the bubble had managed to get to like half the tire, and when I was in Vegas, it was almost all the way around. I'm guessing the heat and friction of driving long distance cause it to expand like that. Be happy the tire didn't explode... could have been a bad situation. You should look into Nitto tires, the Neo-Gen's stretch really well. I've been very pleased since I put them on in Jan. I like them a lot more than my Falken 452s.

    (lower right hand area)

for most of the life of those tires, it was running something like -3 to -3.5, but i got an alignment a few weeks ago and now its at -2

How much negative camber do you run in the rear? Looks like those tires didn't like that either

What's the problem? Is the wheel bent? You should look into getting runflats if this is a common occurrence.
