    lol yeah with all the friggin ups and downs with this damn car i need to laugh sometimes. hell i need to laugh A LOT! Call me crazy but when the motor blew i didnt yell a word of curse or anything i actually just laughed! This wasn’t the first time I blew a motor so I kinda got numb to it. My only concern was that when i started to drift to the right i didnt hit the wall or someone didnt hit me. i couldnt see because oil, antifreeze, and other shit completely covered the windshield. but fortunately i made it to the shoulder safely.
    But yeah… I told myself I was gonna either part the car out and be done or id rebuild it so... i made progress.

            so yeah....

            uhh... i sold a lotta shit right? RIGHT!

            so i had a checklist of shit i had to replace

            Sideskirts: i never took a picture of so we'll start off with

            Bumper: CHECK



            i apologize for not letting it out of the plastic yet. but for those of you that dont know about del sols its a 96-97 del sol front bumper. without the foglight hole joints. i got this for one of two things...

            1. because i wanted to.
            2. because i was too broke to get a replacement 93-95 front and still have to buy brand new fog lights. too stressfull
            3. because i wanted change this time around.

              Dude I'm trying so hard to pick up on your attitude towards life and unfortunate things that happen. The way you take all this stuff in stride is so dope!

              What exactly do you mean when you say that the motor blowing was inevitable? How many miles were on it?
              Need to rent a fender roller in Socal? PM me.

                  why thank you! umm... see... when a lot of misfortune transpires throughout the span your life you sort of get numb to it i guess. I personally have had lots of ups and downs plus more downs but as far as the car is concerned its had too many to count. Ive had it for 7 years now and everytime it went down or something bad happened i came back harder and stronger. Almost EVERY upgrade on my car was done out of necessity... ie: cracked exhaust manifold led to header, faulty gauge cluster led to operatable JDM gauge cluster, and etc. I blew the motor that came with the car within the same year i got it due to negligence. i was pretty upset and i cried like a bitch but it was my own doing so i got over it. the replacement motor for that i fucked up on because i bought the cheapest thing i could find and it jumped time and bent valves. i actually paid for someone to put that POS in the car too! after that i said "never again. never again will i spend $100 on a motor and $500 on installation. when i can buy a good motor for $400 and learn to do it myself" So i bout a new low mileage single cam and went from there. In 2005 i said... "i want a twincam non-vtec motor". so i sold the single cam and pieced together a swap.

                  Since 2005 my twincam ran strong. THEN i got my Lexus in 2008 and never really did any regular maintenance to the Honda so if im not mistaken the oil pump gave out on me and voila! another blown motor lol. ive heard the ticking for a while but it started as that a tick so i thought it was valves, so i got my valves adjusted and still heard the sound so i said to myself "awww shit son". but i sorta put it in the back of my head and said it was a super hardcore ultimate case of ticking valves since i wasnt in the mood for fixing a knock or replacing the motor. I am TOOOO lazy for that shit. i was so caught up in the Lexus build that i didnt have the drive to even think of it. i guess i got to now though huh?!

                        Well ya see… fixing the car was always cheaper than purchasing another one for me. I was a man of minimal means so I had to make do with what I had. I could have sold the car last year but there’s also the sentimental value factor. I have been through sooo much good and bad with this car but the good outweighs the bad. Hell… I took my wife on our first date in this car and boned on the trunk. How could I possibly get rid of it?!
