First of all i'd like to start of with introducing myself here new to Stanceworks. i've kept it down to Dutch forums.
My Name is Ad i'm currently 23 years old. living in the netherlands. Been driving and owning bmw's ever since i got my license.
grew up in my brothers e34 M5. so i guess you could say i kind of caught the bmw virus via him.
As for the car i'm going to fill you guys in with. it's a 95/11 E36 M3
bought it July 2013 like this:
I was originally looking for a Dakar yellow one, came across this Phoenix yellow one with a few spots here and their. but for the price i payed for it i absolutely stole it,
Came with full service history (192k Kms) on the clocks. it hadn't had maintenance in a long time though. at least for an M 20k is a long time. so did first things first.
took out the ugly Hella lights, Took off the E46 M3 muffler and replaced that with an ACS catback. Replaced all belts, fluids anything you can imagine.
the M3 was also having the well known clutch release problems. so i replaced the head and secondary pumps or whatever you call them... cant think of the correct name atm haha
Vanos was also not in a healthy condition. so i had that rebuild by a specialist with beisan seals (it made the typical diesel rattle) also wasn't steady in rpms when at traffic lights etc.
glad to say the vanos rebuild solved all that.
Here's some pictures of the work done.
The M3 was running like a charm again, and got all the attention she needed again.
figured i'd start doing some bodywork slowly and surely. few spots round the arches and a small spot above the left rear tail light.
couldn't help myself to try something else first.
Roof restyled ...
and yes you can guess where this is going haha
i'm pretty lucky on the fact one of my best friends is a prof painter. so i could get this done fairly cheap.
After this i started looking into some wheels.. and yes you can guess again, Style 5's is the way. Rc090/91's 8j front 9j rear.
after getting the wheels the winter arrived, put the M3 inside the garage and started thinking and talking to my friend. i wanted to do a full body repaint for the best of the looks obviously and bring the M3
back to tip top condition. so after a few days of thinking... we got started.
and then there she was ready for paint...
meanwhile i took the style 5's apart and had the hearts painted a special pearl black.
coupe of weeks later. she went off to the paintshop.
and came back like....
Now to explain why i chose for Hellrot. It was the original color of the car before she was painted Phoenix yellow. Figured if i was doing a full respray the best option was to
restore her to its original looks. best value wise and you have to admit, she does look stunning in red... haha
Took me about 3 weeks to fully rebuild the car with the help of friends, all new door rubbers, seals etc. you name it i bought it... you do something you gotta do it right rite?
her first time out in 6 months.
Meanwhile the bbs where put back together.
Put that all together:
and outside.
over all it took me about 10 months to get the body etc to the state shes in now. and pretty much all my savings haha,
-
thing that i got started on now is my interior, been slowly but surely gathering stuff.
Got a full Extended leather interior waiting to go in,
i've just mounted the OEM carbon centre console and the Extended leather armrest, among with a OEM e36 phone.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this project, any questions just ask!
