  • Finally! Stanced E36 Touring inside.

    Finally got my wheels on...

    Good news: It looks good?

    Bad news:

Front is rubbing slightly when cornering. Going to add spring limiters (?) and that should eliminate that bit of rubbing as it's not really much.

    But...

The rear needs more work. It doesnt rub on the tire, but it rubs on the wheel.

I' think I'll raise it up 5mm and add a few spring limiters (?) and see about more camber.

Ideally I'd have the rear fenders done a bit more by a bodyshop, but I don't have any money for that currently...

Indeed. Clean and simple. I love it, and I want it!

Any details on those spring pads??

The spring pads are the rubber pads that sit on top of the spring normally, right?

The stock E36 ones does not fit with my adjuster. Are the E46 ones different?

I'd shave the roof rails and rock smaller tires/go lower but it looks extremely clean regardless.

Those are the smallest tires I can run. 215/35/18. Only smaller size available is 205/35/18 and there's no way in hell that I can get that TÜV approved.

Yea, at second glance your right they are pretty small, my bad. I'm a bit baffled by why you can't go lower but if your rubbing your rubbing. Either way it looks good.

Yeah, I guess it might be because my suspension is a bit soft... and according to my dad who watched me drive away, the rear looks pretty bouncy from the outside.

New suspension is a thing I can't afford at the mo, though...

Hmm, how much of a roll do you have/ what is your suspension setup? Looks like there'd be enough room

The edge is rolled about half way, maybe a bit more.

Suspension is AP coils... dunno the spring rates.

I know that once the fenders are fully rolled, it will fit, but I don't have teh moneyz for that currently, so for the time being, the rear will go up a bit again.

                          wow...gotta love e36 tourings...

only thing i would do is go lower but you said you cant...
i think smaller tires would help, as well as a camber kit..also widening out the fenders by having them pulled.

either way, it looks awesome! good luck with figuring out how to get it lower. im sure there is a way to get it done but im not 100% sure what would be the easiest way.

                          keep us updated!
