You mean proper fitment AND proper geometry? That might be blasphemous around here.... :P

This is crazy. I think it's absolutely gorgeous, and it's some phenomenal work. I'm not sure how I feel about the chassis of choice, as I can't imagine the interior being up to par, and the driving experience doesn't match the aesthetics..

But if you're all about style, this is the bee's knees. Really well done. Congrats!

It's an honor to receive your compliment.

Chassis really boils down to wheelbase (both cars are 103 inches), windshield slope/size and ability to apply the rear clip without changing the rear proportions.

I've spent a ton of time so far on interior with more coming.

Door/rear panels are still coming (at upholstery shop, and he takes his sweet time) and the Celica dashboard isn't terrible. I have a Ferrari-inspired raw dashboard cover piece, but I have zero desire to make it "correct" from a copycat perspective. I'm also not too bothered about the car being extremely fast. I want reliability, daily drivability, decent appearance, ability to move 4 passenger, and something unique. This car weighs 2000 lbs and has about 200hp with a 6-speed - and it sounds good.

Couple friends have T23 GTS's and I don't mind them. Peppy good handling cars. Interiors comfy yet sporty.

            That Updated interior is sick

I'm sold, the interior looks like it's coming along really well. Nice work! Be sure to post the dash when you're done. I'm interested.

As for the power, that's not too bad if the car is actually that light. I think with such crazy exterior work, a nicely built-up turbo VR or even an NA K20 variant would solidify things. That'd leave my only hesitation being the drive layout, but FWD certainly has it's place, and people who knock it have a chip on their shoulder.

              Killer work.

I don't think people get too upset about the proper geometry aspect around here. I wish I could space less up front and I have the inner fender clearance to do so, but I like it flush. I could fit 11s or 12s up front with an inch of fender overhang. That's what happens when you widen a car by about a foot

Thank you, sir. One step at a time.

Edit: How would you feel about electric vehicle conversion? Assuming it's fast enough...

Not the best picture, but here's the dashboard. I think I'll wrap more pieces with matching mocha leather and eliminate the carbon fiber eventually - bottom half of dash, center section and outer gauge trim.

Biggest difference was from adding the machined aluminum rings around the gauges and vents.

I want to dislike it because I typically can't stand kit cars, but there is literally nothing to not like about this. It looks so good. I had a mini melt down trying to figure out if I was looking at a real Ferrari or not haha And 200hp at 2000lbs is a peppy car I'm sure. Nothing to complain about there either. That's similar numbers to my frs, but even lighter so I can imagine is a total blast to drive. This is really great man. Good job.

An electric powertrain would be insane. That instantaneous electric motor torque...

Also, when you decide to get rid of those X5 wheels, let me know.
