  • Same car, blah blah blah

Well, here's the news.. with some new pictures.

I finally straightened out my credit card, so I can finally start holding onto my money. With that said, I'm about to drop $650 on vorshlag camber plates (painful but necessary for me), send the first 2 HREs out to become 19x9 et29.5, and cut/pull/reweld my rear fenders next weekend.

edit: these first 3 pictures were taken by someone else from this morning's cars and coffee.. i love other people's pictures

Vorshlag plates drop the car about 1.5".. I would love to get that suspension travel back. To me it's a necessary investment because the roads here are so bad. I'd rather have fun breaking solid mount vorshlags, instead of suffering on stock strut mounts or higher profile camber plates. I'd love to stick the helper springs back in and bring the perch up a few threads, and still be at the same height. Ideally a little higher in the front than now, poking wheel, and a little lower in the back, poking wheel. haha

I'm also going to buy black moldings.

You must have some super stiff coils cause from what I could tell you were not rubbing. Obviously you must some but not to bad.

What tires are you running now and what are you going to put on the 9?

edit. that first picture is fucking money. damn i wish we could have done a shoot with our cars together.

i get what u mean with the suspension travel. once i started de modding (took off the 20's, raised the car up, ect) my car felt SOOOOOOO much more comfortable.

and holy shit, when it was back to stock it literally felt like it was floating when i drove it

KW V2 at full stiff.. they're really nice, still rides 9/10 as far as I can tell. Stock strut mounts are probably suffering though, I'll have to sell them before I do damage. So far only a couple thousand miles on them though.

I rub at full lock in front because of narrow wheels and lack of camber, and the tires rub on the fenders when I go over huge bumps, which is expected. Nothing rubs in the rear besides the lip of the wheel on fender.. just barely.

Right now on these DPEs (don't know the offsets,) the fronts are 19x8 with 215/35, rears are 19x10 with 235/35.

With my HREs, I'll have 19x8.5 et31 up front, and 19x9 et29 rear, with 225/35 all around.

In the future, I'll move the 19x9 et29 up front (it will be et24 because I have to run spacers) and hopefully rock 19x9.5 et22 in the back after a little fender massaging. Maybe even 10s.. 10.5 is possible with camber and fender rolling. These DPE 10s could easily poke out another .5"

When are you getting the 225's mounted on the 9's? I'd like to check em out. I was going to do 215 or 225.
