The car itself is really nice. I've always liked e61 with the Msport trim.
I also fancy the colour. It seems black but turns out to be dark green.
But this is it...good looking, stock car on decent wheels.
There's complete lack of drop and fitment...no stance whatsoever.
Use those freakin' coilovers, don't waste the potential!
Add some spacers, fit the rims with the fenders and you rock

This being Stanceworks, I knew comments like this would come at some point.
The colour is Saphhire black, no green in there
The car is stock, yes… It's a daily.
I've put it on a 20" B5 size wheel/tire combination, because I found the standard sizes to be too small and because it made it possible to drive 20" with at least some rubber left. (xxx/25/20, no thanks!)
It has spacers fitted: 2x10mm in the front and 2x15mm in the back. The wheels are completely flush with the fenders. Mission completed.
I have no ambition to go lower, as it would make this tyre size impossible to drive and because I simply don't like big cars being too low. Always seems odd to me.

Probably one of the best examples of the 20" Alpina Classic II Softlines out there… And they're mine. 8)
Just had to share this wheelporn with you guys...
Connaisseurs will notice this is not the same set as on the E61… It's the later E38 B12 LCI version; these have the valves hidden in the center (under the lockable wheel caps).Last edited by Bmwe39touring; 03-03-2015, 11:04 AM.

The Alpina Classic II Softlines in 20" only come in one wheel size (LCI and pre LCI are the same sizes):
9Jx20 ET20mm
10Jx20 ET32mm
Tyre specs on the E61 are already mentioned above, but here they are again:
front: 235/35 20
rear: 265/30 20
I use 2x10mm spacers in the front and 2x15mm for the rear.
