  • My Black 328is part 2

    Here everyone,
I finally got back to working on my car once it started warming up. Who also though it would takes months to find someone who would install my stretched tires and work my tires. Anyways, I have updates!! Below is my initial thread but I wanted to start a new one . It involves installing ACS type 1 wheels...17x9 et6 and 17x10 et19.
The general style discussion forum, as well as a place to post your car, or any car for that matter.

First thing I did was rip out my interior and clean the dirty old girl. I did a rear seat delete, replaced the headliner, and cleaned the carpet. The pictures tell the rest...
Did my best to clean up the carpet

Then took apart the headliner and replaced it.

The damn headliner was roughhh and the last owner used scotch tape smh...New one looks so much better!

Afterwards I took out the rear seats and all the noise cancellation material.

Then used cardboard for the rear seat delete template

    The finished product...

Afterwards, I got around to messing with the suspension. I installed front shims and rear camber arms. The eccentric bolt was a bitch to take off!! Also, anyone doing this in the future all you need to do is loosen the diff bolts and the rear control arm bolts. Then jack the diff up after its unbolted and you'll barely have enough clearance to wiggle that control arm bolt out. I looked up numerous threads that involved loosening the subframe, using a prybar, grinding, etc. Totally not necessary.

This bolt took awhile but just use some PB Blaster.

I had phantasm motorsports in North Carolina do all the bodywork. They did an amazing job rolling the front fenders and completely cut the rear inner arch. All things necessary were done to keep out rust.

Pictures of the finished product! I'll go lower in the rear but I've been so busy with work.

Things for the future: Roll cage, omp steering wheel, omp race seats, and shift knob.
At the moment, she looks decent but still going to make minor tweeks. She drives okay but I am getting a vibration noise from tire in the right rear. Similar to when you're next to a lifted truck with large knobby tires. The car also looks to dance side to side over large bumps. I am thinking new RTABS? I am also going to replace the tie rods. Let me know what you guys think or what I should improve on. Any advice is greatly appreciated and I will keep the updates coming!

    Thanks for looking

Very nice man. Not really digging the rear seat delete, but it's nice to see something different.

A little bit lower and you'll be spot on!
