  • With a Stroke of Luck...

    ... I became a BMW owner today.

1987 635 CSI. You'll recognize it from these photos....

Got a call from Jason yesterday and he gave me an amazing deal.... I had to keep this car local. hahaha. 1987 635 CSI, one of the first bagged E24's in the States. So stoked on this.... For now it's gonna roll as it is. I don't really have any plans spinning around in my head yet, I didn't even know I was gonna buy another car until yesterday afternoon hahaha. It's gonna be real fun to work on it over the summer.

You bought Jason's car?! Awesome! I was wondering how long that car would take to sell. Hopefully you take car of it just like he would. Rad dude and radder car. Did you buy it along with his style 5's he rebuilt or just with the M Parallel's on it?

Yep. The M Parallels look great on it, don't get me wrong, but I would much rather have something with more spokes.... I would love to have the previous set of style 5's, the same set that was on the S/W feature, but I've been looking at some other sets too. I may build a set of new rims in the future, maybe over the next winter. I've been looking at some fifteen52 and Livery wheels, which would look great on the car. I'm probably gonna be very particular when it comes to the wheels hahaha. I really like how the M Parallels fit on the car, and if I get a new set of wheels I would want them to be as close as possible to the Parallels... As far as dimensions and offset are concerned.

i am going to be rolling on fifteen52 2 piece f40s on my e28 build coming up i definitely recommend some fifteen52 wheels, but you can find a set of 18" style 5s for a reasonable price. just keep your eye out on craigslist for someone selling their 7 series with style 5s for dirt cheap and trade them wheels or something. i got a set doing that. i found a guy selling the car for 1k and gave the guy 18" style 32's and a pack of beer and got a near perfect set of 18" style 5s. we were both stoked

I have cast Tarmacs on my Focus, so I'm experienced with them. Built very well, I highly recommend getting a set. My friend has a set of style 5's on his E39 M-sport, might just get those from him hahaha
