Yes, and I do buy quality parts when it matters. I don't think less of someone if they buy Depo headlights, or a DDM bumper because that is what is in their budget. It may make there car less nice than it could absolutely be, but making them a worse person

I am not making them worst person. But, I **** when people act like its stupid and unreasonable to buy OEM/name brand parts!
Replica will always remain replica. I don't care be it a wheel or sway bar link. Quality will never be there.
If I can afford it why not? Don't make it seem to be cool to buy cheap parts, cause its not.

Meyle is an OE supplier to BMW. Quality is there. They even make a Meyle HD line. Which I like a lot and use over Lemfoerder parts in many applications.. I would ask do you go down to the dealer and buy everything?

That is a different argument to what you said before. You look down on people who buy those parts, your words not mine. I never had said it was stupid to buy OEM/Name Brand parts, nor is that the argument I am making. OEM/Name Brand is almost universally a higher quality than the alternatives, and should be bought when you have the money. I just think its ridiculous to actually look down on someone because they don't buy the OEM/Namebrand stuff. You honestly think less of the people on Racelands, or with Depo's? More than likely it is a daily and works well enough for their needs, no reason to make their purchase seem any less valid.

EDIT: Sorry to shit on your thread, for what its worth I do like your car, and fucking love the wheels.

Well I mean if you can afford it then shame on you, but if the budgets tight and it works for what you need then fine, just don't hide and say that they aren't reps even though they really are. That's the only thing that really bothers me. I mean sure the quality might not be there but what does it matter, its not your car, so really I don't understand why it matters all that much. There are tons of areas where people skimp and get reps and no one takes notice (like headlights) but when it comes to other things like wheels or something people have babies. As long as they don't go about saying they are real when they aren't then it really doesn't matter.

              My $.02.

Yes there is. To an average person, and most people that know cars too, a replica with a BBS center cap looks exactly the same as a BBS wheels.

And besides, I'd rather smack a pothole and bend a replica and throw it away then cry for a month because I just lost a thousand.

Easy solution: Don't hit potholes with your nice wheels

                      ok fuck it

I'm in the party that thinks if your gonna upgrade your car, and put some shit that's worse than the OEM, then why did you waste your time. There are exceptions, but that's my general rule.

I could seriously give three shits if the "average" person likes my car. Now, if another enthusiast can see my work and appreciate it, then I'm flattered. But average people drive stock Camry's, and don't know what a tire rotation is, and don't know about tire sizes, and they wonder how i drive so low. I can't relate to those people when it comes to cars.

And I absolutely **** the excuse that "if I hit a pothole, big fucking deal I'll buy another wheel." That has to be the most retarded argument I've ever heard to defend replicas. You (not you this is a general statement) bought replica's because your either A) too cheap to shell out the money for the real thing, B) too broke to buy the real thing, or C) you don't know the difference. So if its A or B then your probably to cheap/broke to buy another one so you'll get it fixed and if its C you'll keep banging your head into the same wall.

I am neither A, B or C. I bought my replicas because they look good and were the exact specs I wanted. And they were local. I don't even know if Regas come in 4x100, 16x8 or et20. I also don't have the time to search them out if they do exist. So I have replicas. I also have Ground Controls, ST Sways and various other 'real' parts waiting to go on the E30. In the process of a motor swap. I have my own reasoning but it isn't because I am too cheap/broke. The only 4x100 size I have seen personally or for sale was a 16x7 et35. Didn't really work for me anywyas.
