  • Bummer not Bimmer

    fml.

Tapped this lady on my way home yesterday morning. When i say tapped i mean tapped, like the lightest you could possibly hit somebody, not a bump. Not even a scratch on her bumper but obviously mine is fucked.

Some good news though, I'm almost finished on the re-finishing process on my style 5's.

Im at a bit of a crossroads though, I'm not sure what color to paint the centers... I was originally going to do gold because thats what I've always wanted, gold style 5's, but recently there have been some other alpines showing up with the same setup. So I'm considering other colors right now, but gold is what I'm planning on if i don't like anything else, so I need some opinions! The only other color that has crossed my mind is a deeper purple...

Nice, I'm doing mine right now too. My roommates are all like wtf are you doing with that wheel so I showed them your polishing job and they said holy shit

I finally got the studs out of one of mine and cleaned everything thoroughly and got everything up to 400 grit so far. Tomorrow 600, 800, 1000, 1500 and then I think I'm going to get my buffer next time I go home and hit them with some nice polish. What did you use for the final polish?

Normally I'd disagree but I vote for this.

                  Either silver or full polish

Your 5s look great tho. Purple could be horrid or really cool, be careful.

                          Front Bumper for you...

As for the wheels... Gold is classic, but are there any colors in your plaid headliner you could tie into the wheels? Or sky-blue or dark blue like the WA license plate colors...

Like I said on bfc: grey centers, grey bolts, polished lips. Or gold bolts with grey centers.

A white car can pull off any color wheel. That's the best part about it. If it were me I would do like an orange or something to be different and it looks really good in my opinion. I havnt been on other forums showrooms lately at all so I don't knpow if its played out or not. Grey with gold bolts and a polish lip. I just finished my buddies style 5's for him and used nuvite nushine polish. Its better then anything you get from stores. You can pick It up from vintagetrailersupply.com. Its a little pricey but it will make your polishing life easier and it will come out better then brand new quality. If you check out their website you can check the Grade C and Grade S for your wheels. But after you get done sanding make sure you setsand 2000 grit and use a mother or turtlewax rubbing compound for the first layer then move to multiple layers of grade C then grade S for the shine. It will come out very nicely. I wish I had pictures of my buddies wheels because they make me jealous that they aren't going on my car.
