  • Flush Stance + Nail In Tire Side Wall = Sadness....

I haven't driven my car for a couple days and I took it out to get some gas and on the way home I hit a nail... Since it hit the sidewall of the tire, the nail started scraping up on the rear fender... Sorry for the cell phone pics. Is there anyway I can save the tire? It's a brand new tire with only a couple thousand mile on it. I know it's not safe to roll on a patched tire, especially if it's on the side wall. I was planning on buying a new tire and placing this tire on my spare rim so I can have a full size spare.

Sucks man but most tire shops wont even try patch a tire if the damage is on the sidewall..

Ive patched side wall before... I would never do it to anyone elses car just because of the liability but if its just for a spare... I'd patch it and use it.

Sucks man. I wouldn't feel safe driving on it if the side wall was patched though. It could lose air on the freeway and your car could end up like that amazing xB.
