  • My denim blue audi tt. Porsche theme

17" porsche cup 1. Porsche 993 front calipers. 330mm alfa romeo brera discs.
    H&r adapters 35mm up front, 30mm rear.
Thie mods on this car are a hommage to the audi rs2 avant... A car i always lusted after. The tt uses the same wheels and brakes, as well as being somewhat similar in colour (i think the rs2 was only ever available in silver, blue or red).
Just lowered it yesterday. Ride is ok considering how low it is. But the sump is too close to the ground. I think i might raise the front by 10mm. Any thoughts?

Get a skidplate if you're worried about the sump height. She looks pretty good at that height

i am delighted with the way it looks, but i have never had a car quite this low before. I don't want to raise it, but I guess these are the compromises you have to make!
I will be looking into a skidpan (or a sump guard as we call it here). Thanks mate

I think the car deserves some nicer wheels. Don't get me wrong, these are ok but not so appealing like other Porsche wheels.

doesn't look too bad at all. I would like to see a bit more wide in the wheel spacing...possibly some better spacing. But outside of that, I'm pleased with this. Pleased very much.
stanceworks: I don't really fit in.

Thanks guys. I was already thinking that I might space the wheels out slightly further.
The rear wheels are currently a few mm outside the arch, while the fronts are tucked in.
One problem I am facing with the TT is that the haldex 4wd system does not like when the rolling radius is different front and rear. It can mess up the transmission. That's why trying to work out rolling radius after the tyres have been stretched is important.

@daniel, these wheels have been one of my favourites since about 1994

I do wish they were 18's instead of 17s though. would help with clearance.

Looks sweet, rims fit very well in my opinion.
