  • I did something cool to a Mini [404: Wheels/Suspension not found]

A customer came into my shop today and wanted a custom installation done on his Mini. I put in a Escort 9500ci stealth radar/laser jamming system. All that stuff was rather basic, but he wanted the display mounted inside his rearview mirror. Seeing as these types of fun projects always interest me, I said sure (of course for a ton of extra money). It was time consuming, but came out well. Here are pics.

The main reason I wanted to do it, was because the local super custom shop outsources that type of work. So I wanted to add this to my portfolio to prove that Im better than everyone else lol. And I have an idea for the next one for it to come out even better and a little more stealthy

Ive seen people do this a few times and always thought it was the coolest way to display it. Great job on the install.

Dave, I'm gonna need you to put a bunch of TV's and speakers in my car, Then some neon lights and a mini bar in the trunk. Probably a pool on my roof and some waterbeds too. Then I'd like Xzibit to come out and tell me how he pimped my ride.

            See you next week.

Still is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind one but hiding everything except the lit display.

                    Very cool install!

I wonder if you could replace the mirror glass with a one-way mirror with the display behind it, such that only the illuminated letters would be visible, like Evil Panda suggested.
