  • My Black 328is

    Hey everyone,

I just joined stanceworks and have been working on my e36 since I acquired it in June of 2013. Here is the progress so far.

First pic I took of the car after I picked it up from North Carolina for 3.5k.

First thing I did was replace all the amber lights with clears as well as acquiring some depo headlights. I then got the large dent fixed on the passenger door that can be seen in the first picture. After realizing that all four stock wheels were bent, I quickly purchased a set of ASA 17x8 wheels on a 225 tire. There cheap I know.

To convert it from a monster truck back to a car, I purchased a set of ISC coilovers from Bimmerworld. I encourage everyone with a BMW to go there for performance parts. Very good customer service.

I managed to buy a borla exhaust and afe intake from turner motorsport. I also replaced the door trim and front bumper with the ///M kit. Here in Virginia its been under 15 degrees for the last four days.

    Now for the fun stuff.

I just purchased a set of AC Schnizter type 1 wheels ....17x9 et6 in the front and 17x10 et19 in the rear. I wanted a set of Hartge Splits but not willing to buy out of the country.

A set of AC Schnitzer center caps/stem caps are on the way

As you can see I'll def need a roll/pull in the front and rear. With the wheels installed, I'm only running -0.5 in the front and -2.0 of camber in the rear. I plan on getting a shim kit for the front as well as camber arms for the rear if needed. The ISC coilovers don't provide a large amount of negative camber.

I apologize for the low quality pics but my Nikon just broke. At this point, I am trying to figure out which tires to buy. I am thinking a 205/40 for the front and a 215/40 for the rear. I'm open to ideas or suggestions on my current setup. I will post again with updates when its all finished.

Good progress. Should look good. My advice, pick up a set of BWS coils. You won't regret it. Believe me.

Thanks man. I have big plans for this car but I have very limited to work on it. After I get the wheels fitted, the entire interior will be redone. I will post pics of that too.

Thanks man. I'm still on the look out for some mint hartge splits so I may end up selling these in the near future.

I know . These coilovers were a last minute thing and I work 2 miles from Bimmerworld so I decided to purchase these. The stock shocks were completely shot and there weren't even bump stops in the rear. But definitely looking into BWS or another stance suspension manufacturer.

I work in Dublin, VA by Bimmerworld. Buying parts from them is an addiction since shipping is free. But I'll keep you posted!

I looked at your thread right before I bought these haha. I wanted to run a little beefier tire so hopefully a pull/roll will be enough for proper fitment like yours. You're car looks awesome!

Excited to see how the wheels look on the car. White and gold wheels always looks good though.
