Appreciate all the feedback fellas, yes def needs bigger wheels..will happen. I would just much rather air because I would **** to put this thing on the ground with spring and bust my pans and risk getting stranded with my little ones. Houston roads are harsh and I just rather be safe, if I wasnt a parent then Id just go with shorter springs on the coils and just be stupid low static. No short cuts taken when my little girls are involved. Not saying shorter springs are a short cut but you know what I mean
Thanks bro, I appreciate the feedback, still has a way to go. I don't believe in spacers I rather just go wide without having to use them, and plans include going wider with more lows. As stated before this is just a test phase due to the lack of info on building these things to be low and wide. I'm going with OEM projectors once it gets the facelift and as for the trim I'm up in the air with it because it kind of grew on me in some weird way. Interior hasn't been touched yet, plans for some good ole murican muscle swap, paint, wheels, air and the list goes on. Nothing is ever close to completion.
YESSS!! what are your thoughts? ls1?
A few guys over at xoupost are developing an ls2 swap kit for the x5 i believe. only downside auto tranny. I plan on doing that when my n62 goes kapuut.
EDIT: for air are your plans to go full air strut? I've been checking out bag over coil set ups. remove the coil spring and put a universal bag in place. I can't quite remember but, i believe you have kw's? Those are pretty damn good coils from what I heard, so you wouldn't be sacrificing to much ride quality if you went bag over coil and dialed it in. Anyway I'm still waiting on my BC's but turns out the rear camber plates and extreme low isn't an option for the x5. So well see how low low i can get with the coils and if proper low low isn't achieved ill have to bag it.

Yes sir LS1, I joined up on X-outpost so Ill def be checking that out for sure. A lot of research will be needed and I will be talking to the guys over at Serious Horsepower out here in Houston on what it will take to get it done. If you know anything please feel free to past that info to me. That will come after the exterior and interior is all sorted out. As for the bags the fronts I will run bag over strut obut the rears I'm going to have to run a universal bag in the rear, not trying to run bag over strut and have the strut shoot through the towers. Damn that sucks on your BCs when are you expecting them to get here? Yeah that's the problem that I'm having with coils, not being able to get the ride height I'm wanting with more lows. As someone stated above I could run shorter springs, but Im just better off bagging for the family's sake. I'm looking forward to your build bro cant wait to see that thing on the ground.

Gotcha, that's a good reason to bag it.

More low and different wheels now. Lost interest in it for a while but decided to get back into it. Ripped out the X3 KW setup and went with E46 setup for more lows. Just picked up the wheels a couple days ago at a steal so I couldnt pass them up.
