That thing is insane. I'm not sure what I think about the way it looks. The work put in is awesome regardless though. The article mentioned possible drift shots. Is it converted to RWD?

That last shot looks like it borrowed the nose styling cue from the 350z Veilside widebody kit

Not sure if it's converted, but they do do FWD drifting in Japan haha.

fvcking awesome body work, fitment is intense.. and I though my 285/30s on 18x12.5s were mega stretch.. I wonder if they have a diy on how to do all the crazy fiberglass bumpers and fenders!

oh and would look way better with oem head/tail lights retro'd and led'd.

I fucking love this build, and yes indeed he drifts it, if this is the same yellow one then it is still Supercharged and also it has a lots of bars, and totally custom suspension setup, here's a blog to follow more on his build, you can check the amazing craftsmanship behind that bodywork

To my knowledge it is a FWD car.
The car used to be (or he had a different car that was) yellow, and FWD drifted often. Very crazy as well.

Without ranting, I just want to say I love this car, and this is why I love Japan.
This car serves no other purpose than to please the owner. While it can still drive, and possibly drift, it could do these things infinitely better if it wasn't modified like this, but WHO CARES? Kawashima-san doesn't. That's what I love about Japan, they're "Why the hell not?!" attitude. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be fun and/or cool.

                              TL;DR:
Car is still FWD I think.
Japanese people are cooler than everybody else.

Also, for those of you not familiar with the car (and since OP posted this as someone else's car) I figured I'll post a brief history of it. Brick244 PM me if you don't want this in here.

                              This is it in 2010:
                              Supercharged as someone said

And this is some build photos as of late 2013:
