  • I told my self I wouldn't get another german car

So I had my GTI for almost four years. I had a lot of fun, and since something broke every other month, I was able to learn a lot. It was an awesome car but I was bored of it. Anyways, Here she is when I got her

    False Floor

Ended up getting a 20th valence

    Lowered it on some Ksports

    New wheels

    Dyno'd (189 HP and 257 ft/lbs)

    AIR RIDE BABY!

    ****in RS's

    New air ride setup

I was pretty set on ditching the whole german/euro scene and was planning on getting a Miata. I wanted a lower mileage, rear wheel drive, non-metalic, red, or white car, that was cheap to mod, cheap to fix, and reliable as hell. Boy did I ****ed up

As of right now, I am going to save up over winter and hopefully grab some coilovers. I WANT to slam it, but I won't...I want to drive this car. I will give it a mild drop for sure though.

Thanks! Any recommendations on coilvoers? I don't want to break the bank and I don't want "slam" the car; just a mild drop to get rid of the wheel gap but I want the car completely driveable

I'm running ST coilovers (subdivision of KW) on my e36 and no complaints here. Still a comfortable ride with it being lowered. There's lots of options out there, but ST's are very well priced for how nice they are.

ST's are tempting. I almost got them on my GTI before I went with ksports. How do they "perform?"

Congratulations on making the move to a proper RWD automobile.

Coilovers are dependent on what you want to spend, in terms of recommendations. If you want the best of the best, Broadway Static is the way to go.

Haha, said the same thing with the GTI. As of right now, I do want to keep it drive-able. Really though, my work parking lots and driveway just will not allow for any decent slammage.

Very nice transformation on the MKIV.

                              The M3 should be sick.
