When I had my car sitting like this, before the cops busted my balls, I had exactly 5.5cm / 2.15 inch space at the same spot your phone is lying in the quoted picture.

I would have thought you'd have much less space there, more like 1.5 inch. Then again, it looks a bit ground down there, so maybe you should have less space but don't because it's ground down? :
