Hi guys this is my A3 8L 1.8 Turbo from the UK, I used to have an E30 BMW which I posted a couple of pictures of. Anyway here she is, just though I'd share it

well, i sure like it but i think you need to space out the wheels a bit
or get some other, more aggressive, wheels.
anyway keep up the good work!

i shouldn't be daily driving this:

Thanks for the replies. Since buying the car I have:

          Replaced front wing
          Repainted rear bumper
          Replaced both front seats
          Fitted coilovers
          RS6 Wheels
          Painted engine cover
          Honda s2k air filter
          Oil and filter change
          Fixed front wipers issue (relay)
          Rear wiper delete
          Debadge rear
          Replaced faulty stereo
          Replaced faulty cd changer
          Clear side repeaters
          HID kit
          Forge 007p recirc valve

I am planning on spacers but the back is as low as the adjusters will go and already scraped the sump on a cambered road! How much lower shall I go!?

I think that you are on the right path.

You definitely need more aggressive, wider wheels. Maybe Rota Grids or something like that would be my opinion. Paint the lower parts of the side skirts and front - and rear bumper or buy S3 ones. It makes the car look wider and lower. And of course, lower it.

Its a cool car and looks much better than when purchased. I think an nice aftermarket wheel will highlight the other work you put in.

              progress IS a slow process

im the worst person to ask, as im not what you would call super-low, as i drive my car as a daily through London alot and scrape terribly lol! But im still gunna cut my bumpstops down soon and go a little lower...

Just seen on the UK section you're from essex...i live near Basildon/Southend where abouts you from? Ever go lakeside on a saturday night or any meets locally?

thanks guys. I know what you mean with the wheels... but I have been after a set of these RS6 wheels for a long time and think they will look a lot better with some spacing. I may wind the fronts down another inch or so and remove the adjusters from the rear spring perches.

If I was going to colour code all the black plastic I would probably just go for S3 bumpers and skirts...which I was hoping to avoid building an S3 replica :/

Hey Ben I'm from braintree... I actually bought ny car from Southend! No ive been looking but not sure when they are or if they're still going? Still in the multi story at lakeside?

Proper work so far. More quality instead of just slamming it, i like that.

The car needs some sick wheels to set it off and a little more lowering

Looks great, I always used to want one of these older body style A3s when I was growing up. I went to Europe a couple times in high school and drooled over them the whole time. Naturally we never got those in the US.

Thanks mate I had no idea they never made it to the US?! That's a shame, I would of loved to see what some of you guys would of done to them!

Ben, definitely get a thread up with some pics of the Scirocco, I love them things! Anyone got any ideas how to free up a seized coilover adjuster? I tapped it round with a screwdriver and hammer but started messing up the collar, it was slowly moving though, covered it with WD40 aswel
