Was the 530d gearbox one from E60? the GS6-53DZ? or some earlier model? just wondering cause i have same gearbox(GS6-53DZ) :P

GS5-39DZ: E39 530D spesified for 390nm[handles +500nm ok on chipped E39 530d's]
GS6-53DZ: E60 530D spesified for 530nm[handles +800nm ok on chipped E60 530d's]

Anyways, what gearbox will you use on S38? Getrag280? GS6-53DZ? Or not even BMW box?

Getrag 280 is not an option. They can't handle 700whp. I think the gs6-53dz would be the best choice. Haven't really decided yet
