  • The Daily Beater MK1

So like everyone says, low/flush/stance is a lifestyle. So how can you drive a stock vehicle?

This is my daily beater that I got because my S2000 cannot drive in the snow.

    BEFORE:

    THEN:

    AFTER:

Of course more to come, but since it is starting to get nice I need to focus on the S2000.

Plans for the truck are to get rear coilovers so I can go lower all around, right now it just has a flipped axle so that's why it is not as low as I want it. But I have held off on the coilovers cause I know as soon as I get them I will dump it more and then it might not get me through the snow!

damn a caddy for a daily, for the rear i would just get the drop plates that are available, my buddy has them and loves them

he sourced a set of coils for the front only, not sure if you need them or not but you can buy them in just a pair

Yeah I have the raceland front coilovers on the truck already and in the back I just flipped the axle.

The thing about drop plates is they act like spacers as well as a lowering device and my wheels are already where I want them, so if I get those they will be too far out and I will either need to hack my fender up or cut the axle down on each side and reweld.

Plus if I do that I will still have a really stiff front and a really bouncy/soft rear. This is no good for when I am hauling stuff like my scooter.

It is hard to explain what I am going to do unless you are familiar with the caddy rear suspension setup, or leaf suspension in general but I am going to buy camaro rear coilovers, put them in place of the OEM rear shocks and then delete 2 of the leaf springs which will leave the one leaf spring which will only be there to keep the wheels center and straight. Ride height will then be dependent on my coilover height and I am buying 16 way coilovers so I will be able to stiffen them up when I have a heavy load and soften them when I am just cruising for babes.
