I just posted over on the wonderful Bimmerforums so I figured I'd share here as well....
My daily driver should make the purist happy with it's proper sized tires, quality suspension and oem look.
My "other car" though.... some of you will love it, some will say "What the???" And that's just fine. This one I take to shows, to run errands, and recently I've tried my hand at drifting. I loved it and the car performed well, so It'll likely transition into being completely set up for that over the next few months.
With so many constant arguments over everyone's different taste I think we lose touch with the fact that we're all enthusiasts. We all like different things. You can appreciate a variety. I enjoy the ride and handling of the m3. I enjoy the rawness of the carbed V8 in the red car. And when the red car isn't being used for anything useful I enjoy it low with stupid fitting wheels and tires. Occasionally I'll throw some cheap coils and low offset wheels on the M3 for a few weeks too. Once in awhile I'll even drive my Nissan Frontier. Diversity is fun.
I'm no photographer, these are all Iphone pics....Except the first one taken by Dema Sherbuk at bimmerfest east.
Forgive the sad condition the previous owner left the modena seats in the m3
