  • Plasti Dipped E36

See description at the bottom.

    my stanceworks take on edit

This E34 was a lot of fun to work on. The car was faded black all around. I plasti dipped the car with preformix paint in a shop and a spray gun no rattle can on this. The rub strips are all new from BMW all around, not plastidipped. The window trim is plasti dipped black over the brushed metal that was on the car.
The car is daly driven by my brother in law with a few modifications nothing crazy: lowered on springs, a larger throttle body, cams, injectors, a few more things I'm forgetting that he's told me.
Long time creeper on stanceworks first time post. Camera was a canon 5D Mark 3 and a 24-105 lens
If you like the car I am out of North Jersey and looking for cars to spray. I was at DOD this year with a jetta and a miata, we had a ton of fun peeling the car at the show.

here are 2 cell phone pictures from before. On the hood that's not the clouds reflecting its paint peeling

It's crazy how plastidip works and how cheap it is. I just did my truck and might do the camaro with some sort of rainbow flake.

          Looks good !

How so you like the plasti dip? What happens if a little peels off? Can you touch it up easily?

With some paint thinner to you can smooth out a lift, bubble or peel and spray lightly you will never notice. The plasti dip is real tuff it'll take a power wash no problem and I light impact I found out after someone dragged a shopping cart acrossed it. Here's a little video of the first couple passes. https://vimeo.com/m/70109911

It would look way better if the lips of the wheels weren't black. Never understood that look.

Looks better than the paint but think the best color in PD is white.
x2 on the lips. polish them instead..
