So if I use a 5x114 adapter that is 25mm thick and my stock offset is like +50, what offset should I be looking for? I really like some of the issforged wheels.

Maybe some options to consider in 18/19/20 for an OEM+ look. I feel your pain though, but my stupid Focus offset is even higher at +53! I've given up for the time being, and as it's only my daily I don't really need wheels on it anyway.Originally posted by AndrewNance View PostAhhh 5x108. Welcome to the struggle. Old school Ferraris use that pattern as well as 99% of Volvos from '70 up. Your best option is find a wheel you can fill and redrill and then never be able to sell it again.
You might look at some of the newer Volvo wheels for XC90s and other models that came with 18" or bigger wheels. Those have an offset around 42.

Surely you can eat up an adaptor of ~25mm and still be in the right area though? I mean even though stock offset is like +45 doesn't mean your aftermarket wheels need to be +45. I suppose it depends how wide you want to go but maybe that is the compromise. Maybe go up to like 19x8.5/9 or something and perhaps you can pull that off. It all comes down to camber, ride height and tyre selection as well.
Bearing in mind most people usually add at least 2-3" of width plus drop about 20mm+ of offset when they go aftermarket aggressive wheels. For e.g. i have a daily daihatsu, stock fitment is 14x5.5 +45, i am going to put 16x7.5 +25 on it with camber bolts, stretch tyres, lowering and rolled guards.

Yeah I'm not going for the crazy camber, slammed, poke look thingy people do. I just want to lower it a bit and get some fitting wheels that'll look smooth and go well. Also, I just learned the hub bore was 63.4Mercedes:
93' 190E Sportline
80' 450SEL 6.9
67' 250SE

Final et (wheel offset) will be 25mm. the only way you can see how far you can go is by trial and error. Usually these days, the wheel well of newer cars can fit wide wheels/low offset wheels no problem. Before wheels, you gotta look into your suspension options first, Idk if coilovers are already available for this car, what are your plans?Originally posted by GTShunter View PostSo if I use a 5x114 adapter that is 25mm thick and my stock offset is like +50, what offset should I be looking for? Also lower offset/wide wheels w/o any sort of low, will poke out as if it doesn't fit. Fun fact:the lower you go, the wider you can go in wheels. a lot of people don't think about that.sigpic

It would be easier to buy wheels and getting them redrilled, because Fusions suck for offset. So, unless you're planning on running 19mm adapter with some 30-40 offset wheels, IDKOriginally posted by GTShunter View PostAlright, I think I'll be going the 5x114.3 adapter route and just test fit some wheels and see if it works out. If not I'll sell the adapters lol.
this is just a 18x8.75 +35

Redrilling is actually a good option. Inland Wheel in California can redrill anything 5x112 to 5x108. Your best bet is actually looking into RWD Mercedes wheels and getting them redrilled if you don't go the adapter route. Inland is actually where Motorport-Tech got started (Inland=Lenny Sr., Motorsport=Lenny Jr.) and they can do wheels and tires as a package. They tend to be extremely reasonable for drilling charges if you buy wheels and tires from them.
