Yeah, just a fad or whatever lol im sure all those other guys can use their feet though. I drive with hand controls because my legs dont work. So that made it all the more exciting !

I actually drove a car with hand controls (working at my old shop, customer was also paralyzed from the waist down) and his controls were way different.

If I remember right above my right knee there was a bar (almost like a big indicator stalk, but slightly lower and straight) and you would push it forward to accelerate and pull it towards you to slow back down. It was super easy to drive.

It was pretty cool.

Yeah Ive seen those style controls those are the more permanent kind. My type of controls are technically the "portable" kind that one would take with them on a long trip or flight where they would need to rent a car afterwards. They can easily be swapped to any automatic with the right style of pedals. Where as the stalk kind is bolted to the steering column and in some cases has a booster to help the person use them. Those style controls are more for quadriplegics and high level paraplegics with minimal trunk control.
