Before i lower him again i thought id share some photos i took of my dub today
Hes a 74 super in pretty well stock condition (hence why i bought it) and is my first crack at owning something Aircooled, i think this is my 16th car so far and i love him the most

Yeah that is half spray primered/putty as the previous owner had kind of attempted to re paint then gave up as his daughter didnt want him any more
Im not bothering to respray i like how it looks

As you can see ive got a lot to go in the rear as for lowering

Im not entirely sure what engine is in it, but here it is in all its glory. Vaccumn lines plugged holes in the manifold with metal oil can lids plugging the rear tin

Might not be the prettiest looking engine out but it runs pretty damn good and is getting tuned by a bloke who knows what hes doing thursday, so can only get better haha

    this is a wheel

Also i drove into a carpark and took some photos for something different

    one more

Looks like a really solid base! I've always wanted an aircooled.

Do it up kafer cup style! Certain porsche suspension bits will bolt right up by the way.

This is beautiful. Love the patina! How do you plan to lower it? People will tell you the 74 front end can't be lowered more than 3 inches, but it's a lie. My 73 with 74 suspension is down 4 3/4. =D
