My Jetta coupe... What I've been up to...

So I've been working on the coupe for a little while, some may recognize it how it sat before... Prolly not cause I really haven't posted pics since I got it.
The day the trade went down... Bye bye caddy...

Minor changes made

Bought new wheels for it, picked them up at sowo:

To run them properly (as I saw them fitting in my head)... I decided to down grade all the mk3 stuff that came along with the 5-lug swap, back to more proper fitting mk2 stuff.

By-bye 11.3" brakes... Hello 10.1"... Along with mk2 control arms, ball joints, tie rods, custom axels, custom hubs, dual-drilled rotors, mk2 spindles etc... The point was to be able to bolt the wheels up, without using adapters... I had a vision in my mind on how they would sit... And here it is.




Still want to do a mk3 rear beam to bring the rear out, and eliminate the 5mm spacer that's there, and them for my liking it'll sit perfect.

yeah, i do too sometimes... but its good to move on, and this was a nice change from the caddy.....

not really a "golf" specific front per-say.... but i know what you are thinking... i might switch it up soon to the early westy front with small squares.....

ive been there, done the car on the floor static thing... sometimes i just want a car i can drive and not worry about breaking stuff.... im happy with how it sits now... eventually it'll get a mk3 rear beam to bring the rears out and eliminate the need for spacers...

until then its staying at this height.... until it gets bagged.....

ive been slacking on updates... sorry...

so i finally got my heckblende delivered to me by hand from canada (too fragile to risk shipping) at h2o and promptly installed it....

i must say i absolutely love it.... just screams period correctness and goes great with the wheels.....
other than that and getting the car cleaned up for h2o and recoating the bumpers and side trims....just did a bunch of hanging out and chilling.... heres a few pics ive found so far.....


then i picked up a good lot of parts from my hoarder friend, so all those that ***** the rounds.... Problem Solved...


Front swapped on....

then it was winter wheel time...

and a good pic of it on the winters with the new front (and trim strip painted)




no major plans for over winter except to find bigger lips for the Ronals....
