Are you on CEG? I know its pretty dead there lately and they're not really into this style of automotive enthusiasm. Still, I check in every once in a while when I'm looking for a part or need some ideas. When I get back to the lower 48 I plan on doing a little work to my 96 GL base. They're really a great little chassis.

Except you are comparing the base model e36 to the SVT. A more accurate comparison would be an M3. Either way, I still think its not the most appealing car to begin with, but think the OP has done well with the platform.

I don't agree with people saying its ugly to start with. You have to see the potential. A non-M3 E36 with factory 15" wheels, tires and suspension is ugly to start with also. Its just that there is a modified one on every street corner, so the potential is obvious and then even more people mod them.
