Thank you sir. I definately didnt want just another ratty ass beat up drift car. Im tired of seeing half finished "missiles" so I said I'd do it right. Took me a while but it was worth it.Originally posted by motocaddy View Postthis is awesome! looks like an extremely well sorted drifter!

Yeah I would like some legit wheels but I'm glad I didnt spend more than I did. Ive already had to replace one from a mishap street drifting and one of the front wheels has bad rash on the inner lip from rubbing at full lock. And yes! I tried to balance style and function. Low enough to look okay but obviously not slammed...Still maintaining driveability and performance.Originally posted by Strawhat View PostInstant Gentleman kit + wing is a surprisingly awesome combo.
Wish it had cooler wheels or was lower, that's my only gripe.
Awesome car dude, and nice more front camber than rear. Style and function points!
Thanks buddyOriginally posted by Zayan View Postsick!
That was a different car completely..I think his names Tony or something. He has different aero with canards, an Origin wing, and rattle can paint. I was one of guys bitching about my wing not being here until I noticed his wasnt a BCL wing haha. I was there in my black LS400 that day.Originally posted by keith2 View PostHow long has it been red? Im pretty sure I saw this before it was red just a couple months back at a Proper Atire meet at cascade station. Heard a few other guys bitching that you had your wing and theirs hadnt shipped yet lol.

I wish I still had my old BN type 2 but the Instant G works pretty well for me. Thank you!Originally posted by driftsucky View PostI love BCL wings and I don't care if they're functional or not. The drift pics adds validity to this build. Pretty stellar. And, kudos for pulling off that supermade face with popups...UP. I've seen a few but never with the ups up. Looks good.
Wings on and staying on. Its way easier to find my car in parking lots with it on, duh.Originally posted by 96CD7 View Postkeep that wing off.... forever

Soo the weekend before the drift event I went through a local car meet. Lots of shitty Hondas and boring cars but it was fun for about 30 minutes.

Then I started to sort out my tires for the drift event.

Borrowed a buddies wheels for spares

And in kind of odd timing, I sold my daily driven LS400

So we loaded up for the event and were on our way...

And 6 hours of riding bumpstops in the dually later we were in beautiful southern Oregon for Bash to the Future

It was blazing hot and everyone was having cooling issues so I ditched my hood early on

And the drifting commenced...

From the first run I could tell my clutch was weak...I was having to clutch kick multiple times each entry but I figured, I was there, Im going to run the car into the ground. After half of the first day my transmission started grinding 2nd gear bad and popping out of gear but again, I was there, I figured I might as well drive. And then the afternoon of the the first day of the event my transmission gave up. 2nd gear was gone, nonexistent, and it wasnt possible to do the tight kart track without it. So I limped the car to the pits and hung out with the rest of the drivers the rest of the day.
Here are my three favorite photos of the event

The next morning we decided to hit the road early since it was a long trek back...It got even longer when we got a flat on the trailer and had to unload to change the tire.

So thats that. Got the car back home, ordered parts, picked up parts and now I'm in the middle of my 350Z VQ transmission swap with a new lightweight flywheel and new 6 puck unsprung clutch. Bigger, badder, better...

Oh and since the car is down, my Lexus is gone, and the weather is EXCELLENT here in Portland right now, Ive been DDing my other toy...

Thats all for now...
