  • pulling off 16s on an e36

many argue that an e36 looks bad with 16s. i however think these look great. i will be refinishing them, getting wider lips for the rear, and possible the front, but i thought id share now, and that is going to be a long while from now.
    wheels/specs are: OEM napre 16x7.5 et15 3 piece with 195/45 tires.
(sorry for a dirty car. i need to get proper pictures taken)

    its pretty low i guess

16s could definitely work with wide lips and a thin tire tread with a thick sidewall.

I like the concept. Somethings gotta be fixed here though, because it looks like you have gap, yet your sideskirt is on the ground. Maybe space them out a lot and camber them. I like it though.

It looks good, but doesn't look like you are low at all because of the 16s.

          7.5" wide? It's a lost cause bro.

I feel like you could find something to better suit your ride height.

I like how it looks. Yes wide lips could improve it but I think the proportions are fine.

16s look great on e36 as long as they have at least 3" lips and poke a good amount. You should bring dat ass down for sure.

16's are perfect on the E36 body.

the black skirts/lips don't exactly assist the cause either.. that said I'm enjoying it fairly thoroughly as-is, super clean look that will only improve w/ lips & spacing

"Pulling off" may be a bit ambitious at this point. I mean, based on where you're at, you're in the wheelhouse. It looks like it CAN be done. But, needs a few touches to make it happen. Sounds like you're on the right path.

theres no wheel gap, just gap from "rim" to fender. tire is tucked in.
