I have both in different forms. Perfect! I never busted an oilpan....until I bagged my benz. I only attained a quarter inch drop all around from the bags...but the car car now be de-mobilized when aired down. Its a plus for me I like to ride at a semi - normal (still lowered prob 3/5" form stock) ride height sometime, and sometimes I love to drag frame and floorpans, really just depends. I have other cars that are static and handle like gocarts. Its all in what you want out of the car really.

Sure Id like the comfort of knowing this road sucks, I can just raise it up, but thats not the name of the game. My car is not a car that I built to win trophies, its built so I can drive it. My paint is chipped, my fenders are burnt and it still turns heads. Jaws still drop. My car drags frame on flat roads and I wouldnt have it any other way. The look is just awe inspiring, wondering how its even possible to be driving that low. I can still drive my car like its meant to be driven and I have the ability to raise it for track, winter, whatever I need with the twist of a wrench. While I do see the upsides to owning air, its just not for me, and I think the only way i'd ever purchase it, is for a car that I was strictly building for show.
also, don't forget about people who drive low on bags. I drive mine as low as my wheels will allow me, until I come up to a rough patch, or road work - this is why I'm on air
I very much appreciate, and have a lot f respect for people who drive low static, have balls way bigger then mine
eg - working on the rear ATM:

Depends on the car, it's purpose, budget, tastes, etc.
It's always awesome to see a static car as low as bagged cars. It takes countless hours and trials to dial it in correctly and that touch to get it perfect but the outcome is awesome looking. Plus it takes guts to roll around low being static.
On air is also a delicacy in my opinion. It adds that extra bit to the car and also allows people to lay frame. It's convenient and also looks/sounds great when you're standing next to a car and hear it air out; watching the car lower on the ground.
Still love them both so, Static ≈ Air... Just Go Low.

Meh. Bags for me. Just my 0.02 cents, if I pay for it, and try to keep it looking nice, I don't want to beat it up. Whether it's the Saturn, or something more expensive.
That said, if I bought a shit car, and decided to lower it, I wouldn't spend thousands for an air setup. I'd probably throw coilovers on it.IG: @kyle_eagleton

Personally, I love my bags. Being that I've had static low cars in the past and remember all of the time I would scrape and bust oil pans... I've actually found that on air I still forget to air up while going in and out of steep driveways or over speed bumps. It is nice though when you do realize "oh yeah, I can just air up!". At the end of the day, I'll still take my bags over static.

I like static due to its performance based roots. But personally I wish I had bags. Being able to to lay frame with the flip of a switch really sounds great.

it depends on how much balls you have honestly. i've considered bags time and time again, but my money is always better spent on a new set of wheels or even a new project. hell, i just built my ef sedan for less than half the cost it would take to bag my gs400. that in itself tells me static is the better choice. i'd much rather have my ef (which cost 1/4 the cost of a bag setup) than having my lexus switched to look proper.
we are all men here who enjoy working on and driving our cars. riding static and dealing with the consequences is the fun in it. if shit breaks or wears out, we find ways to repair and improve effectively. its a welcome challenge, especially here in the midwest with our 1.5 foot deep potholes. but again, its a welcome challenge. if you cant accept the challeng then you get bags.
i dont hit buttons to make my personal image more attractive, and i wont do the same for my car. what you see is what you get. period.
however, if my fiance was to drive some of my cars daily, then i would defiantly consider air. but my cars are built for men. static.Last edited by Chad G; 04-14-2013, 10:55 PM.shitbox eg hatch.

I've always liked static more than bags. I mean I've always been into motorsports like drift, autox, and drag. None of those sports can be done efficiently with bags. Plus once u get used to riding low, the stiffness, the style of driving there's no going back for me. I ride in another car thats not on coilovers and I just feel like something is missing.
But then again I see how cool bags are it just depends the car or truck and what u plan to do with it
