Anybody ever seen a WRX with smaller, wider wheels thats still slammed? 15x9, 15x9.5 but still slammed. Maybe running a tire with a meatier sidewall. Any pics or links would be appreciated.

There's some type of WRX local around here that runs 8.9x's at the track, Major 4 wheel burnouts. He runs a relatively small wheel (as I'm assuming slicks are harder to find in 16"+ sizes). It is the absolute meanest looking and sounding WRX I've ever seen.
The only reason it looks fucking awesome is because of it's time slips, and the fact that he drives it home.

FYI there is more form here then function.what purpose does wheels that wide (and a track that has totally been fucked with) do for performance on an AWD subaru? at a certain point the dynamics of running super wide meaty tires actually hinders your ability to corner and has ill effects on acceleration (especially running steelies).
OP You'll have a better reception on a subie forum then here in regards to your question. keep in mind you have certain size limitations when it comes to wheels because of the fact modern cars use larger brakes. your saving grace is probably that you said WRX and not STI so you probably can get away with 15" wheels.
